Sensitive information — where relevant to a personal injury, family, or other claim, this may include health and medical information, information about dependants, and information about criminal proceedings.

Payment information — billing details and payment records.

Website usage data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referral source, and other analytics data collected automatically when you visit our website.

Enquiry data — information you submit through our contact or consultation booking forms.




3. How we collect personal data

We collect personal data:

In some matters we may transfer personal data outside Hong Kong (for example, to overseas lawyers or experts). Where we do so, we take reasonable steps to ensure the data continues to receive a level of protection comparable to that under the PDPO.



7. Retention of personal data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law and our professional obligations. Client files are generally retained for a minimum of seven (7) years from the conclusion of the matter, in accordance with The Law Society of Hong Kong’s recommended retention periods. After this period, files are securely destroyed unless we are required to retain them longer.

We take reasonable and practicable steps to safeguard personal data against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use. These include physical, technical, and administrative measures such as access controls, encryption of communications where appropriate, secure storage, and staff training.
